It's summer break...
and I am having such a hard time finding things to write about. I have hardly been productive this summer. I've literally wasted half of my summer doing nothing! It's quite sad!

How to be successful in High School (also applies to life after high school!)
The tips and advice from a senior in high school. Class of 2011, oh yeah!
-Use your planner - usually the school will provide you with a planner. If not, just go to Walmart or a dollar store. Buy one that views both the months and the days of the week. Write down your homework assignments and important dates. When a teacher announces an assignment, quickly jot down the assignment and the due date in your planner.
-Do not take naps after school everyday - I am very guilty of this pleasure since junior high school. Everyday after school, I would go home, eat some food while watching some TV, lay on the couch, and take a 2-hour nap. I would wake up feeling a big groggy, but soon I would feel awake and refreshed. The consequence of this was that I wasn't able to fall asleep again until past midnight. This left me with only 5 hours of real sleep. I was extremely sleep deprived and I fell asleep in almost every single one of my classes. This year, I've stopped taking naps and I am awake in all of my classes (except for one because the lights are always turned off in this class, which turns off my reticular formation). The reason I am awake and alert more is because I am extremely tired by 11 o'clock. I sleep very, very well now. I just lay in my bed and I'm out until my alarm wakes me up, so I truly get a real long sleep and I feel alive when I wake up. Plus, I devote those 2 extra hours in my day towards homework, so that I can get to bed even earlier than when I had spent those hours wasting energy taking naps. Don't take naps!
-Do not have a boyfriend or girlfriend in high school - Isn't it boring going with the same boy or girl to Prom, Homecoming, Sadies, and Sweethearts? Bleh. Come on, it's a lot more fun experimenting with different guys or girls on these dance dates. Well anyways, it's true a boyfriend or girlfriend in high school may jeopardize your success rate in high school. Why? They are too distracting! Hours and hours are spent with each other. Several times you've been tardy because you couldn't stop making out with your sexmate. Even more hours that should have been spent for homework were spent to do some sexting, Facebook instant messaging, or moaning to the cellphone. Gross. High school is a time to discover yourself. If you don't even know what the heck you are or where you belong, then how the heck do you know what you want in a partner? Frontal lobe doesn't fully develop until your early 20s, let's not regret anything and just wait until college. We've got to finish our self discovery and begin to love and accept ourselves before we start truly loving someone else.
-Smile - The biggest tip of all because it makes the biggest difference. Instead of frowning and getting angry when your alarm clock rings, simply smile and embrace the opportunities of a new day. Smile when you go to check your grades. Smile before a game (or in my case: race). Smile at teachers and students and you'll notice that they will treat you very differently. Smile. Smile. Smile. This leads to having more confidence and people asking you out on dates and dances. You'll be a teacher's pet. You'll get away with anything and will have unlimited help towards your desired grade. All you've got to do is smile. When you smile, it opens a lot of doors for you. You'll be different because you'll speak up more, answer and ask more question, and have the confidence to go up to your crush. People will love you more and this will expand your social network so you'll get far in life.
-Join sports, clubs, and volunteer. Also, get as many leadership positions as you can. - It's really important to get involved in your school and your community. You develop social and leadership skills that you'll need to be successful not only in high school, but also in college and in the future. There's an extracurricular activity for everyone. There's Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) that will help with public speaking, business skills, and problem-solving. People who love to run or throw things, but do not like the pressure of a team sport can join Track and Field and/or Cross Country. In individual sports it's all about becoming a better athlete and a better person by pushing yourself to beat the time instead of beating a team or another athlete. Clubs and volunteering allows you to meet new people and experience different things. It's a great way to expand your world and have different outlooks on life. It's also good to start helping others at a young age because that good karma will have many benefits in the future. Plus, it just makes you feel good. That nice warm feeling in your heart is not because of high cholesterol, it's love.
Other valuable tips that I am too lazy right now to give a 200 word description of:
-Never brag. Never criticize. And never get into arguments with others (unless you're in debate or something)
-Be more laid back. Stop being such a perfectionist and stop taking things so seriously. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. Have fun.
-Do not go to bed until assignments that are due tomorrow are done, so you can sleep and wake up peacefully. You won't have to worry about having to study or work on an assignment quickly in the morning. Even if the assignment will take hours, it's better to take advantage of your teenage mind being more alert at night to do your assignment 'til 2 in the morning instead of sleeping at 11 and having to wake up and still be tired at 4 in the morning to work on it.
-Do yoga, stretch, and do some breathing exercises before you go to bed everyday - This will do wonders on your skin, body, mind, and soul! Stop going to bed having built up so much stress and tension in your skin and body. Release it through stretching and breathing and you'll wake up a whole new person!
-Always try your best to look good - Buy trendy clothes. Wear some makeup. Work out! Put on some moisturizer for goodness sake! People love being around people that look good. Just a little effort to look your best will really pay off. Looks really do matter especially in the high school environment where first impressions are everything. Who cares if you're extremely kind or if you're amazing at the guitar. Looks are everything and people will treat you differently just because of the way you look. I know... it's harsh, but get over it - it's high school.
-Work hard and don't give up - cliché, but you don't realize how hard it is for people to actually do this. What lazy slobs and pansies.
-Don't blame others or circumstances for your problems - Excuses will not get you anywhere. For example: Don't you just feel like an idiot when you lie about why you were tardy? You blame your parents or the alarm clock for not waking you up. Does the teacher even look like he or she cares? Does the teacher wipe your tears and excuses you from the assignment you missed? Heck no. In reality, they don't give a honkers. They've heard these lame excuses for years. Some interesting and some just plain unimaginative. Stop blaming others and circumstances for your mistakes. Instead just own up that it's because of you and only you that you're in this mess. It's better to tell the truth and say that you forgot to set the alarm clock so you missed the bus and your parents couldn't drive you to school. Simply apologize and say it won't happen again, and ask how you'll make up the assignment. Your teacher will know that you're speaking the truth and probably will not punish you. Teachers love honest students who don't try to save their own face by blaming others.
-Go discover yourself and find the place where you belong! That's what high school is all about. Don't lose sight of this purpose. Once you've done this magnificent self-discovery, then all the universe's possibilities opens before you.

Only one thing you need to learn for people to love you.
"Yeah I know. I went through that phase too! Oh my goodness, no kidding, that happened to me as well.. I fell in love with him too. I won that award. I totally did that. Ohh gee, I totally rocked that test. I.. I... I... I... I...."
STOP IT ALREADY! Who cares about you! You sound so conceited.
One thing that is essential for people to love you is that one has got to stop talking about him or herself!
People love talking about themselves and that is why... if you want people to love you then you better let that person talk about him or herself! While that person is having a grand time talking, you'd better close them lips and listen and not interrupt with your I!!! Simply ask questions and seem very excited to listen to what that person has got to say. It's easy as that. You'll have 1000+ friends on Facebook plus a hot date if you've got this down.
No more I. It's all about friends, family, and you, beautiful eyes.

Some favorite websites.
Google Docs - A place for all of my homework assignments, essays, and projects. It's a nice safe place for word documents, spreadsheets, PowerPoints, etc., and as long as you've got the internet, you've got your work, but don't forget to back-it up by saving it on the computer (that's my word of advice to you).
Playlist - A nice source of all the good and bad music in the world.
Penzu Online Journal - A private and safe place to type out your world. Say good bye to them spiral notebooks for writing down your thoughts because here comes the technological age and generation. An Anne Frank Journal of today means printing out blog posts and online journal entries.
Lookbook - This is the website where you'll know what's in and out in the fashion world.
Lulu's - Cheap place to shop after you've been practicing fashion through Lookbook.nu. The shop to find the casual, the formal, and the hot.
Personal Development for Smart People - Steve Pavlina - You're meant to be happy and live life. By reading this blog, you can find the confidence and lessons to live your destiny.

Ohh gee.
Why do I have so many blogs?
I guess I am just changing so much that the blogs have to keep up with my ever-changing life.
I guess I'll have to say goodbye to Kyy Philosophy like I had done with Dowdy Gabber.
Bye Dowdy Gabber.
Bye Kyy Philosophy.
I no longer talk gibberish and I no longer philosophize on things.
Dowdy Gabber and Kyy Philosophy- two blogs that I hid myself behind. I never expressed my true self, so that is why it was so difficult to write for those two blogs.
It's time to start anew already. It's time for Write, Run, Action!
Dowdy Gabber was the immature 16 year old who just started high school.
Kyy Philosophy was the 17 year old who was confused and felt all alone.
Write, Run, and Action! is the mature, confident, successful adult known as Kathy.
Kyy's Philosophy?
Write,
Run,
Action!
YOU DOODLERS!

Homecoming dress.
I just bought my homecoming dress.
Well, I am not exactly sure yet if it'll be my homecoming dress because homecoming is not until another month and I'm still not sure if I'll be asked.
I bought it at Burlington Coat Factory and I am such a lucky gal. The dresses were brand new because the staff had just barely put it on the racks.
I was drawn to it. It is quite a beautiful dress and it completely represents me. It is a strapless dress, but I was able to get a small and so it's quite tight.
Take advantage of the "outlet" stores near you.
There is Ross, TjMaxx, Burlington Coat Factory, Marshall's, etc. etc. You can find a dress there for very, very cheap. And most of the time, you don't have to worry if other students are going to wear the same dress because they are kind of "vintage" when they hit those stores.
Plus, don't spend so much on shoes and accessories when you can take advantage of those stores above and also the array of thrift stores available. Shoes for $4 and clutches for $2 - they are all amazing and unique finds. Just keep on searching and you'll find the buried treasure! You've got a fashion detector ingrained in your system, so take advantage of it!

Want to change your life?
I was suffering from the common teenage depression when I was 13 years old. It was definitely intensified when I moved to a new city and began Junior High School. New friends, new environment, and I had little to no confidence.
But in 8th grade, things started to really change. I changed my habits and I developed a greater sense of control and purpose.
I'd like to thank my 8th grade English teacher Ms. Parsons for teaching the class about the Secret. You were right; you said you were one of the firsts to find it out and that in the future it would be a big thing. Thanks for giving the class and I a head start in life with lessons on the Law of Attraction.
Thank you Steve Pavlina for sharing your lovely life lessons. I stumbled upon your blog and I read some of your posts and it truly got me out of my depression. I took a lot out of your 30-day challenge. It has definitely changed me and made me a better person. So, thank you for the inspiration and the wisdom.
Read The Secret or the upcoming book Power by Rhonda Byrne.
Plus, check out Steve Pavlina's blog. Steve Pavlina There are truly inspirational and life-changing stuff packed up in one blog.

Blogs
It all began with Dowdy Gabber. Then, there was Kyy Philosophy. And poof, comes the new blog known as Write, Run, Action!
No more masks.
No more secrets.
No reservations.
I am tired of holding back my personal feelings and experiences.
I am tired of pretending to be someone I am not.
I am tired of trying to please everybody except me.
I am tired of waiting for the perfect man to come into my life.
I am tired of waiting for that big break.
I am tired of waiting for my life to start.
I am tired of feeling like the outcast, follower, and loner.
I am tired of being confused and lost.
I am tired of feeling self-conscious and constantly degrading myself.
I am tired about the fact that I hardly smile.
I am tired of hiding behind so much makeup.
I am tired of not being able to make a difference in the world or making a big impact in the lives of people I come by.
I am tired of it all.
I've been always waiting, wishing, and hoping that all of a sudden things would turn 180 degrees for me.
That my braces will come off and I can gain that confidence again.
That my face will immediately clear up and I no longer have to hide behind so much makeup.
That I will get that cool car that everyone wants.
That I will establish an amazing talent that everyone knows me for.
That I will instantly be rich and famous.
That I will all of a sudden gain amazingly cool friends that will not only always be there for me and always have fun, but will open doors for me.
I thought being patient is the only way to win the game of life.
But heck, waiting doesn't get you anywhere. Sometimes, you've got to do something about it.
Now,
I share my personal feelings and experiences.
I just simply be myself.
I focus on my needs and wants first and then, I care about the needs and wants of others.
I go out and find the perfect man to not only sweep me off my feet, but to also be my lover and best friend.
I say yes and go for those opportunities that will give me my big break.
My life has just started.
I am a leader, a friend, and a role model.
I know my place in the world and I know what I want to do and what I want to be.
I am confident.
I always smile.
I accept my unique looks and will show it all off without any hesitation or remorse.
I make a huge difference in the world and I make a big impact in the lives of people I come by.
I look forward to it all. To a new adventure and journey.
Waiting doesn't always get you where you want to be. You can't just stand there and expect to magically end up in Hollywood. You've got to take that first step. It might be a little step, but it's a step towards your goal nevertheless and that is all that matters. As long as you're doing something to get to your destination, your dream, or your goal, you'll end up where you belong.
It's a new blog for the new mature, careerist, sophisticated, confident, intelligent, and nice... me.

Great online websites/stores for dress shopping
Whether it be Homecoming, Prom, Sadie's, or the Winter Dance, these are some of the cheap places to purchase dresses online (or sometimes in store) for very cheap. Mostly under $100, I believe these places sell the best dresses.

School.
Summer school is over.
Wrap it all up and prepare.
When I walk down the halls
There'll be memories to share.
Dancing in the commons
In the caf, there will be singing.
Study, texts, and lots of laughs
Before the bell starts ringing.
Ring, ring, ring, school begins
All go separate paths
To the place where we will learn
History, English, and math.
We all sit at our desks
The teacher simply says hi.
We ask what will we learn?
Lessons about love and life.
We go about our days
Wondering of love and life.
All that we have to do
is look at everyday strife.
Learn from all the mistakes
Then you can learn, grow, and know.
Nothing can bring you down;
Success you'll want to show.
Cause life has no limits
No bias of any kind
Just learn of love and life
and eventually you'll shine.

Things to do before I go back to school.
2 more weeks.
Oh how the summer flew by.
I can finally get an amazing 2-week break from an exhausting, yet very memorable summer school experience.
2-weeks to prepare for what will be my last year in high school.
I am now a senior. Oh, how putting senior and I in the same sentence makes me feel entirely old.
People go on saying I look older than my age and that I act much older than I really am, now maybe oldness is really actually catching on to me...
Nonsense. Nonsense. It doesn't matter how people view me. I know perfectly well that I am still a teenager (17 years old to be precise) and I've still got a lot to learn and a heck of a lot more growing up to do.
Let's face it. I really am kind of stepping into the whole stereotypical adult world.
I am reading books on finances!
I am working on improving my social skills!
I am working on my career!
I am thinking about the type of men I want to marry!
Ohh dear.
I really am growing up...
But it's a little to early to be saying goodbye to my fun childhood and my fun teenage years. My senior year will definitely need all the fun that it can get. Fun. Fun. Write it again, missy. Fun.
Indeed.
I've been reading on saving, investing, and money and more money. I love Rich Dad's philosophy; I am not a fan of Poor Dad's mindset. I've got like $200 in cash. I feel so rich.
This summer has led me to realize that I am socially awkward. I don't know how to make eye contact, I'm not much of a public speaker, and I can barely hold up my end of a conversation. I am clearly working on it right now. I am rewiring my brain. The part of my brain that controls writing has been a little overworked these past years and I've been completely ignoring the part of my brain in charge of speech. And now that part of my brain is stagnant and needs to seriously work out and get back in shape.
I am working on pronunciation.
I am working on answering questions more clearly and quickly.
I am working on my public speaking skills (summer school has helped with this. 4 presentations among 2 classes).
I am working on being more open and direct through body language.
I am definitely working on my confidence.
Film Studies is currently my pick for my college major. This is the first time I've been so sure that film is something where I want to be. So, this is definitely something. I am still not sure what minor I'll have or whether or not I'll have a double major. I am just working my best to try and see if film production is for me by editing films, reading on screenwriting, and trying to make film a bigger part of my life.
I went to a cellphone store on Thursday and I saw the type of boy (or shall I say man) that I want to marry. And seriously, marriage is normally never on a teenager's mind - especially mine. So, this came to me as a shocker. Am I already thinking about marriage?? I still haven't been kissed and I am already thinking about the man I want to spend the rest of my life with? I know that it's completely ludicrous.
That just proves and concludes that.... I am indeed growing up.
It's that time of your life where you want to say... where the heck did my childhood go? I somehow have misplaced it or lost it. Can you help me find it?

100/100 for my first video
I got 100% credit for the video I did for my project.
The video I made was pretty much entirely all me. The only stuff that did not come out of my head were the facts on vitamins.
Put that off to the side and I made a video out of scratch. I'm entirely new to the whole video editing thing. I used Windows Movie Maker and it did take me awhile to get a hang of it, but I eventually conquered it all. It was a lovely one-woman show; video just starring all me. I am quite the actress, but I am not going into the film business to be an actress. Instead, I am learning the art of film to be a screenwriter and a producer.
Step by step and closer and closer I get to my dream. Every video and every hour I put into the craft is allowing me to refine my talent. It's amazing to finally know what I am passionate about. However, I'm going to have to see what happens as time passes by and my life continues to change. If I am still passionate about film and about writing and producing by the time I graduate from high school, then I know that film production is for me. Then, I'll know that I can make a living out of it and that I can consistently entertain people for the rest of my life.

The Summer 2010 Journey is still not over.
A little philosophy for you.
As I sit here at the Community College’s library, I ask myself this simple question: Did I get the most out of Summer 2010?
Aside from sleeping, eating, watching T.V. and surfing the web most of the time, I’d say I took quite a lot out of my summer.
Yes. I do regret not reading or studying more. But hey, it’s summer, so give me a break.
I’ve changed quite a lot these past weeks. Both inside and out. I look more mature, elegant, confident, and graceful. I’ve grown up by quickly stepping towards what will not be end of my childhood or teen years, but towards something rewarding- adulthood.
I’ve spent 4 days every week here on the Community College’s campus. On some days, I spend up to 8 hours in what has now become my summer getaway. The people I’ve met and the many experiences have made this summer break definitely one to remember.
I may not have read or studied as much as I should have, but I have learned lessons that are not taught in books.
I’ve learned the true meaning of diversity. There is such a place where different thoughts and ideas can all coincide together. Where one young student can sit alone at the library computer with several other students around and not make eye contact or utter a word, yet she can still feel apart of something much larger; she is simply connected by all the the energy, motivation, and experiences of others.
Though my future my seem like a fog, I can see the place where I belong and it is as clear as daylight. I have found the enjoyment of every single moment. I only look at the good and give gratitude for what works. I don’t linger what hasn’t worked or what is wrong, but what really makes the moment shine. Every past experience has made this present moment possible. The future is already written and constructed, and I’ll sit back and enjoy the ride.
Being a pro skateboarder has been a lifelong dream. I continue to dream it even though I can’t even do a simple Ollie. I’ll never let this dream die because it remains a part of me. It says something about my personality that nobody else in the world knows a clue about. I keep on trying to achieve this dream every summer. My reason for doing so? You’ve got to find something your body is unable to do, and make your body do it and even better. Practicing skateboarding has helped with other important aspects of my life which include running and perseverance.
Summer break is a journey. These past weeks, I’ve become a pro skateboarder, best friends with all the stars, and most importantly of all... I’ve become a screenwriter.

No longer working on an action movie.
I was actually starting on the action movie, but then I watched the Island.
And my movie's plot was very similar to the one in the Island directed by Michael Bay. But my story had nothing to do with clones, but rather an idea.
And guess what? I actually saw Ewan McGregor as my main man in my movie as well.
And then people would chase after him trying to prevent him from getting the secret out.
Wow. And guess what I also found out? The Island's script was believed to be a copy of some other person's screenplay called The Experiment.
Well, this was quite the eye opener. I've got to make sure my screenplays don't seem like they are copying somebody else's, even though I didn't even know I was subconsciously doing so!
So I'm giving that screenplay a break for awhile and I am starting on a very prized screenplay about a young teenage boy trying to find his place in the world. Typical, typical, but amazing.

Summer 2010, so far.
Halfway through Summ. 2010
Running and studying
Finding my place in the world
Seeking that summer fling.
Only to find a cute boy.
No clue as to his name.
His age or what he likes.
It is somewhat a shame.
He sends a sly look my way.
Shocked, my eyes turn away.
Not sure as to what to do.
Can only muster a hey.
A highlight of the summer.
But there is so much more.
Compliments from older men
Just add to the galore.
Rollerblading and swimming
Just a few more new skills.
Triumphing over all fears
My life has much more thrills.
Simply writing and learning
For the future and school
What will I do with my life
Screen writing, all out rules
Becoming independent
Where on earth will I go?
High school and college, I know.
Where can I grow and glow?
This is summer 2010.
Crushing on the gym boy.
Learning lovely life lessons.
A lot more to enjoy.

If I were to write a missed a connection on Craigslist...
I guess I have a very small chance of being someone's missed connection, but a boy that I see almost everyday is my missed connection. So here's my missed connection on Craigslist (if I were to ever write one, which might never happen)-
Jul 10 - LAC boy - w4m - Somewhere in Utah
You say the most seductive hellos. You are truly amazing. You're extremely hot and confident. Would like to get to know you more. We make eye contact sometimes, but I just have a sudden reflex to look away. I, honestly, do not know why I do it. I suppose it's because you make me nervous and make my heart beat quickly. Perhaps we are meant to be together? Shall we find out? This crush may only last for just another month because when the semester is over, I might not get another chance to see you again. If anything is to happen, it has got to happen soon. Glasses, hat, and basketball in hand. Do I have to say more?
Maybe I should actually post this on Craigslist?
I might just do that.

the Screenwriter
I am currently working on my very first screenplay.
It's an action movie. :D
Here's some food for thought:
We try to make life as simple as possible.
We're afraid of a future of tears and regrets.
We're fearful that our choices today impact our tomorrow.
The ones that take the challenge without looking back are the ones that conquer all.
